Nets of a cuboid

Fold the net of a cuboid.

A cuboid has 6 faces, in 3 pairs of matching faces. In the nets, matching faces have the same color. Tap the button to fold it up.

  • Faces of the same color end up opposite each other.
  • When two faces share an edge, the shared edges have the same length (otherwise it won't fold).
  • This cuboid is 1 high, 3 wide and 2 deep, so its faces come in 3 sizes: 3×1, 3×2 and 1×2.

Different nets

The same cuboid gives different nets depending on how you cut it open.

A strip with two side faces
Join 4 faces into a strip, with one small face on each side.
Side faces shifted
The small faces can attach to any face of the strip (as long as nothing overlaps).
A long strip, top and bottom
Turning the strip the other way gives a different net.
