Entrance-exam level

Fold the hard nets in 3D.

Nets with triangles and trapezoids are hard to picture on paper. Tap “Fold” and watch each face fold up one at a time — then drag to turn it around.

Original problems inspired by solids often seen in Nada and Kaisei Junior High entrance exams. They are not actual exam problems.

Tips for hard nets

  • Edges that join must be the same length. Slanted edges (like a square’s diagonal) are longer than they look.
  • Start from the cut face: which corner or edges of the cube did the cut pass through?
  • Count the faces that meet at each corner. Around a corner of the cube, three right angles meet.

For tutors and cram schools

These problems can be assigned as homework, one student at a time, with the class mode. Parents can get a progress report.
